2025 Chevrolet Traverse Redesign, Price and Release date. After a nearly of decade on the roads, Chevy’s large crossover SUV, the Traverse experienced a full redesign. Unlike the closely related GMC Acadia which returned with smaller proportions after the 2017 redesign, the new Traverse gained slightly longer wheelbase and expanded the interior space.
When we are speaking about the next version of the Traverse, major changes, of course, are not expected. To the second model year, the second-generation Traverse will enter with some changes in equipment groups and probably with new color options. The 2025 Chevrolet Traverse should also make some advanced safety systems accessible in the lower trims.
2025 CHEVROLET TRAVERSE – POWERTRAIN, MPG
The same engine options like in the current version will power the 2025 Chevrolet Traverse. The standard engine on the Traverse will be a 3.6-liter V-6 unit combined with the quick 9-speed automatic transmission.
An option will be a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine. This engine will manage 255 hp and torque of 295 lb-ft. The fuel economy will be around 23 mpg highway.

The second-generation Traverse arrived on the new platform, on the two inches longer wheelbase and with more SUV-like styling. The newest Traverse is 0.2 inches longer in overall length and more spacious inside but thanks to the lightweight C1XX platform it also lost about 111 pounds of the overall weight.
Styling wise, the second-generation Traverse is both more Truckish and suv-like from the distance. Up front, it has sharper corporate grille version, like the sedan models, but more sculpted profile lines also add to model’s appearance. All Traverse models are also equipped with the LED daytime running lights and ride on 18-inch wheels.
As for the 2025 Chevrolet Traverse, the model will return with no major styling modifications. Chevy will likely offer new color options and new wheel design for the upcoming model year.

Inside, the second-generation Traverse offers improved passenger and cargo room. The Traverse also offers the class-leading cargo capacity of 98.5 cubes.
We again expect the new Traverse in seven trim options. As for the safety, all now common driver assistance systems are available in the Traverse but we expect most of them to become accessible in the lower trims.
