2025 Chevy Express Passenger Van Rumors, Specs, & Engines. As far as the vehicle goes, the Chevrolet Express can be considered a dinosaur: it was introduced in 1995, and beyond a few refreshes, remained the same since then. We didn’t expect to see a completely new one for at least a few more years.
The most significant recent change was the replacement of the aging diesel engine with a new 2.8-liter Duramax unit. It joins the 4.3-liter standard V6 and 6.0-liter V8 in the powertrain ranks.
Safety options can be added and include a blind-spot monitor and rear parking assistance. Passenger Express Van is quite a simple affair instead, with a selection of packages that include upgrade pullers, interior climate control upgrades, remote keyless entry, and seat upgrades. The Van comes standard with a 12-passenger capacity but can increase to carry 15 people in a particular configuration.
Regardless of age, Express continues to sell wells for Chevy, as does savanna for GMC. The two Van faces off against the Ford Transit, RAM ProMaster, and the Mercedes-Benz sprinter in the commercially fierce Van market. The price for the 2025 model should remain close to the model 2025′ number starting at $36,095.

There are four machines available for the Express 3500 lineup: a 276-HP 4.3-liter V6, a 341-HP Vortec 6.0-liter FlexFuel V8 or CNG variant and a 2.8-liter I4 diesel engine with a 369-ft of LB. two V8 engines were decimated into 6-speed automatic transmission while V6 and Diesel engine paired with an automatic fuel-efficient 8-speed transmission.
The Chevy Van 3500 Express passenger is available at LS or Trim LT, and the 135-inch wheelbase version can accommodate up to 12 passengers while the 155-inch wheelbase version can accommodate up to 15 passengers and offers several convenient options to complement the Van Customer needs.

This option includes an upgraded audio system and Infotainment, behind the DEFROST window, Bluetooth, remote vehicle starter, power heated exterior mirrors, rear assist garden and passenger side sliding doors. The Express Cargo Van 3500 is available in working Van Trim and provides an excellent base for multi-purpose vehicle utilities that can be equipped to meet both convenience and workplace requirements.
This option includes rear air conditioning, upgraded audio system and Infotainment, Cruise Control, rear auxiliary heater, partition divider, Bluetooth, Remote Keyless entry, remote starter system, shuttle Hotel package, Paratranite package, and Chrome appearance package.
Both Express passenger 3500 and cargo vans come standard with a number of safety features such as four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes, StabiliTrak, and front, side and curtain airbags on all models. For 2025, Express 3500 cargo and passenger vans were carried over.
Power and torque for 2025 Chevrolet Express and Low Cab Trucks
The 2025 Chevrolet Express and Low Cab Trucks will now have a more powerful gas engine available. The new 6.6-liter V8, recently offered in the 2025 Chevrolet 2500 and 3500 will up both power and torque in both vehicles.
Announced recently at the Work Truck Show in Indianapolis, the new 6.6-liter V8 will replace Chevrolet’s venerable 6.0-liter V8. While the old 6.0-liter was lauded by many for its reliability and ruggedness, it was falling behind more modern power trains from the competition.

Here’s how these vehicles will benefit:
The old 6.0-liter V8 made 341 horsepower and 373 lbs-feet of torque. The new 6.6-liter will make 401 hp and 464 lb-feet of torque. That a 17-percent bump in horsepower and 24-percent more peak torque than old the 6.0-liter V8.
2025 Express configurations will be available late this summer with a new 6.6 L V-8 gas engine
The 6.0-liter used in the LCF 3500 and 4500 was rated at 297 hp and 372 lb-ft of torque. This new 6.6-liter V8 in the Low Cab Forward trucks will make 350 hp and 425 lb-ft of torque.
That gain represents about an 18-percent horsepower gain and 14-percent torque gain over the old 6.0-liter V8.
2025 Low Cab Forward trucks will offer a new 6.6 L V-8 gas engine and the Silverado Medium Duty gets a host of updates to further increase performance and flexibility for upfitting.
There was no announcement about a new transmission for either vehicle. It’s a good assumption that the 6L90 six-speed automatic transmission used in the 6.6-liter Silverado HD trucks may be used in this application.
