2025 Ford Explorer Release Date, ST, Interior, Redesign. Ford is in the process of readying the new-generation version of the popular, mid-size Explorer crossover. The heavily camouflaged prototype models have already been spotted on the roads and Ford also teased the audience with the police interceptor version with the hybrid bits.

2025 FORD EXPLORER POWERTRAIN OPTIONS
The new 2025 Ford Explorer will offer multiple powertrain options either in the police or civilian version.
For the police duties, the new Explorer will employ three powertrain options. The options will also include the rear- and all-wheel drive.
In the civilian applications, the new Explorer will install the 2.3-liter turbo-4, 3.3-liter V-6 with the hybrid alternative and the 3.0-liter twin-turbo V-6 under the hood of the ST version. No details about the power and torque ratings expect the ST version should provide around 400 hp and about equivalent torque number.
2025 FORD EXPLORER PLATFORM, DESIGN
It’s not the secret that the next 2025 Ford Explorer will switch to the new platform as the part of the full redesign. The Explorer moved from the body-on-frame structure to the unibody design with the traverse engine setup in 2011. The next version will, however, make the new transition to the rear-wheel-drive-based, longitudinal-engine-layout, unibody platform which is shared with the Lincoln Aviator.
The model will have a strong character line on the side panels and adopt the new front-end design. The civilian version will have the same LED headlights as the Police Interceptor and the front fascia will introduce the new trapezoidal grille version.
INTERIOR, EQUIPMENT
No many details about the interior but the new Explorer will boost the interior comfort and space and offer also the seven-seat capacity. The model will use the space more efficiently and upgraded materials and tech features.
The model will also boost its safety potential with the modern systems and improved structure. Ford’s Co-Pilot360 suite will be able with the system like the line keep assist, traffic sign recognition, blind spot monitoring, collision prevention with pedestrian detection and more.
2025 FORD EXPLORER RELEASE AND PRICE
The 2025 Ford Explorer will make the debut later in the year and go on sale next summer. We expect the starting price to move around $36, 000 from the current $33, 000 starting point.
