2025 Jeep Renegade Redesign, Hybrid, Price, and Colors. One of the most popular Jeep models– the Renegade went through a significant facelift recently. The Fiat Chrysler Automobiles continues to develop and upgrade this compact SUV. The new generation will bring a PHEV setup. It is confirmed for the US market, as well as for Europe. As a result, the Jeep’s crossover SUV section will become more attractive to new customers. We expect that the 2025 Jeep Renegade will be the next big thing in the automotive world.
With the recent cosmetic changes, this version won’t be drastically different. Most of the design features from the 2025 model will be applied here. That leaves more space for performance tweaks. The Renegade will introduce a hybrid setup, that will join two existing petrol engines in the States. For the European market, new Renegade uses a three-cylinder powertrain, and the diesel motors.
Engine Options
The latest facelift brings a new powertrain to the 2025’s lineup. That engine is a 1.3-liter turbo-four unit, that comes as a substitute for 1.4-liter inline-four. This engine is able to produce 177 hp with 200 lb-ft of torque. That is 17 horsepowers more than the canceled 1.4-liter unit. The second option is a larger 2.4-liter drivetrain. With this unit, the 2025 Jeep Renegade gets 180 hp and 175 lb-ft of torque.
Fuel economy will drop, but this crossover will remain quite profitable, with over 30 mpg for a highway drive. The two-wheel-drive setup is the default, and the 4WD is an optional upgrade. The transmission is a 9-speed automatic, and it’s the only gearbox option. The customers from Europe will get additional options under the hood of Renegade. A lighter version, with a 1.0-liter three-cylinder powertrain, will be available for the European market.
Exterior Design
The upcoming 2025 Jeep Renegade won’t bring any drastic cosmetic updates. The previous version of this vehicle went through a facelift, so there’s no need for a redesign. The exterior changes are still looking fresh, and the overall silhouette of this compact SUV is quite stunning. The last year’s redesign includes a remodeled headlights, front and rear bumpers, and new taillight masks. All changes were focused on the modernization of the existing layout, but with a dose of elegance and consideration.
The new Renegade will come with a variety of configurations. The entry-level version is Renegade Sport, but we assume that the customer wants Renagade with more options. Step up to the mid-range Latitude and Altitude models. These trim levels offer much more equipment such as 17-inch wheels, larger infotainment screen, and dual-zone climate controls. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are available. The additions worth of mentioning are ventilated leather seats and larger wheels. The Trailhawk version of the Renegade will be a more off-road-oriented model. It comes with special upgrades that will allow the vehicle to go over any obstacle. The Trailhawk includes a special 4 × 4 drive system, and all-terrain tires.
Interior
The 2025 Jeep Renegade can accommodate five passengers, but really it’s much better with just four people on board. Behind the seats, you’ll find 18.5 cubic feet of storage. That can be expanded to over 50 cubic feet. The only condition is that the rear seat is folded. The front-passenger seat can be folded as well, to fit some longer items.
The standard equipment for the base model includes AM/FM radio with USB input, tilt/telescopic steering column, a 6-way adjustable driver’s seat, and a rearview camera. The power windows, 16-inch wheels, and door locks are also part of the standard package. The absence of standard air conditioning and cruise control is a serious downside of 2025 Jeep Renegade. To get these features you must choose one of the higher trim.
2025 Jeep Renegade PHEV Specs
The Fiat Chrysler Automobiles continues to electrify almost every model that is in their lineup. The 2025 Jeep Renegade PHEV is the latest model that will join the group. The most impressive will be the upcoming Ram 1500 but, this mild-hybrid won’t upgrade the specs significantly like Renegade. The company launched the Fiat 500e electric car, but at the moment, the sales are not as expected.
The PHEV version of Renegade will try to improve sale numbers on the new, hybrid market. The FCA still didn’t announce what type of engine will be in 2025 Jeep Renegade PHEV. We assume that the system will be based on one of the existing units. Probably on new 1.3-liter engine. This type of engine will bring better fuel-saving for the vehicle, and we expect that the plug-in will return over 35 mpg combined. The Renegade will be able to run on electric power only. The estimated range will be between 30 and 40 miles.
2025 Jeep Renegade Release Date and Price
The forthcoming 2025 Jeep Renegade will have an MSRP starting around $23,000 for a base, two-wheel-drive model. This price is very charming, but the base model doesn’t include a couple of very important features. If you want to upgrade this model with a touch-screen infotainment system and air conditioning, expect the price to climb up to mid-$20,000 range. On the other hand, Limited and Trailhawk models come with a price tag well past $30,000.
With these prices, the upcoming 2025 Jeep Renegade is in line with Honda HR-V, Mazda CX-3, and Fiat 500X. The release date of the new model depends on the PHEV engine. The FCA confirmed it, so we just have to wait until the first prototypes make a debut on the streets. Still, the 2025 edition is fresh enough, so we assume the company won’t rush things with the new vehicle. The new Renegade is expected in the dealerships in the first few months of 2025.
