2025 Toyota Hilux Price, Specs, Redesign, and Powertrain. The model was all-new for the 2015 model year but Toyota is keeping the pace with rivals and market trends and launched recently the off-road specialized versions based on the SR and SR5 models. The Rogue, Rugged and Rugged X are dual-cab versions designed with the latest market trends in mind and as brands’ response to the proliferation of the high-performance rival versions.
As for the 2025 Toyota Hilux, the tough, off-road ready and wide-range, mid-size ute isn’t expected to bring any significant upgrade. Actually, there should not be major mechanical and styling updates until the arrival of the nine generation Hilux in several years from now. Toyota will make some changes in equipment range and update some tech features in the meantime while the introduction of the new active safety systems should be the priority for the brand.
2025 TOYOTA HILUX POWERTRAINS
The Toyota Hilux known for its durability and reliability will continue to the new model year with the same engine options and there are no signs of performance upgrades either.
The 2025 Toyota Hilux will return with three engine options but most models will use a 2.8-liter turbocharged four-cylinder diesel engine. The Workmate version will be available with the 2.7-liter four-cylinder petrol and 2.4-liter four-cylinder diesel unit.
A widely used 2.8-liter turbodiesel will likely stay at the current output ratings providing 174 hp and 420 Nm of torque when paired with the 6-speed manual transmission. Combined with the 6-speed automatic the engine will boost torque to 450 Nm.
The Hilux will also come with the 2WD and more capable 4WD. The max towing capacity will stay at 3,500 kg.
2025 TOYOTA HILUX DESIGN
The proven and trusty Toyota Hilux won’t get deep structural or notable styling updates until the next generation version. The model expanded the range of available models with three new variants with unique styling scheme and equipment upgrades for special purposes. The similar bunch of styling tweaks has recently been applied to the SR and SR5 versions.
The 2025 Toyota Hilux will likely bring new body shades and wheel styles for the new model year and some sources suggest the addition of another version.
The model will return in many variants and most interest will likely remain on the dual-cab versions. The truck will again appear with the hexagonal grille in a variety of styles depending on the trim version and with the same headlights design.
The buyer who skips the base Workmate version will get 17-inch alloy, black-painted wheels and grille and non-LED headlights. The SR version will also include black bumpers and side steps.
INTERIOR, EQUIPMENT
The cabin of the next Hilux will also keep the actual form. The models will have an elegant dash design and supportive front and rear seats. There will also be different upholstery quality and level of refinement inside the cab depending on the trim version.
The base version will use a 6.1-inch center screen and upper grades will get a 7-inch infotainment system with smartphone compatibility. The Hilux will also offer an integrated navigation system, digital radio, rearview camera, fabric seats, and more in the lower grades. More premium materials including the leather, dual-zone climate control, power and heated seats will also be available in more expensive versions.
Toyota hasn’t said yet about the safety upgrades but the model lacks some widespread active safety systems and should get them soon in order to stay relevant.
2025 TOYOTA HILUX ARRIVAL, PRICE
The 2025 Toyota Hilux should hit the market late in the year. With no many expected upgrades, the price range should stay close to the current.
