2025 GMC Yukon Design, Denali, Price, and Specs. The forthcoming 2025 GMC Yukon XL is about to arrive. The full-size SUV will get the same type of upgrades as the standard Yukon model. Yukon XL offers ample passenger room and that includes the third row. This model also comes with a great safety rating.

There will be up to four trim levels, which includes the iconic Denali variant. Engines are powerful and generally, the performance is great. Overall, it is a perfect family SUV that can accommodate up to nine passengers. The 2025 Yukon XL will get a slight exterior redesign and the interior will be modernized.

Engine and Transmission

There won’t be any changes and upgrades under the hood. The 2025 GMC Yukon XL comes with the same pair of drivetrains. A smaller 5.3-liter V8 is producing 355 hp and 383 lb-ft of torque. If you opt for the Denali trim, you will get a larger 6.2-liter V8. This engine delivers 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of twist.

Both units are available with Active Fuel Management and Variable Valve Timing systems. The base engine is available with a 6-speed automatic transmission. Optional V8 unit comes with a standard 8-speed automatic gearbox.

Exterior Redesign

The all-new 2025 GMC Yukon XL will look imposing. It is a robust full-size SUV that will get some visual upgrades. The unique headlights are unchanged and grille looks slightly larger. In the back, taillights are revised and the rear bumper looks more premium. The side profile will get slightly sharper lines and new optional wheels. Standard 18-inch wheels are intact.

The customers can now buy 22-inch alloy wheels. Upper trims are available with more chrome accents. Yukon XL Denali will offer HID headlights, unique exterior paints, and the Ultimate package. This package adds a power sunroof, Midnight Silver exterior color, and power-retractable running boards.

Yukon XL Dimensions

This full-size SUV is not recommended for drivers with small experience. The 2025 GMC Yukon XL is 80.5 inches wide and 74.4 inches tall. This SUV is 224.4 inches long. Maneuvering in tight spaces could be difficult. If you have a lot of driving experience, you will manage to park new Yukon XL with no problem. Yukon XL model offers a 130-inch wheelbase.

The difference between the regular Yukon and Yukon XL is in length. Basically, both models are offering the same standard upholstery and features. Both models are looking visually the same. Same trim levels are available and that includes the rest of the stuff such as exterior paints and optional features. The 2025 GMC Yukon XL is 20 inches longer than the standard Yukon model.

Thanks to those extra inches, Yukon XL offers 39.3 cubic feet of cargo space. On the other hand, the base Yukon model offers “only” 15.3 cubic-feet of room. Yukon XL also has more room in the third row. Whatsoever, XL variant offers almost 10 inches of extra legroom. Yukon XL is also available with a larger gas tank with five extra gallons. As for the turning radius, Yukon offers 19.4 feet and XL 21.5 feet.

2025 GMC Yukon XL Price and Release Date

The upcoming 2025 GMC Yukon XL comes in four trim levels. The base model starts at $54,000. Regular Yukon model will cost around $50,000.

Both models will arrive at the same time, in the second half of 2025. Denali trim will cost over $70,000 in both variants.

2025 GMC Yukon Rumors, News, Specs, Price. The full-size GMC Yukon is closing to the end of its fourth generation. Actually, the 2025 GMC Yukon should be the last model year of the current generation and it will receive few changes.

On the other hand, the closely related Chevy Suburban was spotted while testing the new generation design and the twined Chevy Tahoe will also come as the all-new 2025 Tahoe. All, of course, follow the redesign of GM’s light-light duty trucks the Silverado and Sierra. The new-gen Yukon will arrive for the 2025 model year with the changes mimicking those on the GMC Sierra and brand’s latest SUVs.

2025 GMC YUKON DESIGN

The 2025 GMC Yukon follows some minor changes on the exterior look and the introduction of the standard 10-speed automatic transmission for the 2018 model year. The model will switch to the new platform which will actually be the evolution of the current K2XX architecture.

For the 2025 model year, three new exterior colors should be in the offer and two will disappear from the list. The new options should be Smokey Quartz Metallic, dark Sky Metallic and Pepperdust Metallic.

Reports also indicate two new package options. Both should include 22-inch wheels with unique designs. One will get black chrome mesh inserts in the grille and body-colored grille surround.

2025 GMC YUKON INTERIOR

The cabin of the upcoming Yukon will return unchanged. The Yukon also provides the maximum of 95 cubes of the cargo space while the extended-wheelbase version improves to 121 cubes.

2025 GMC YUKON EQUIPMENT

The Yukon will return in the same trim options but the new packages should be added to the SLT trim.

All versions of the full-size SUV will include an 8-inch display-based infotainment system with Apple Car Play and Android Auto features. The base SLE will also come with the 18-inch wheels, tri-zone climate control, side steps, keyless entry and ignition, bucket front etas, etc. The safety systems such as the forward collision warning, low-speed braking, lane departure warning and intervention, etc. will likely be available in this trim as the package option.

The SLT version will upgrade power mirrors, blind spot monitoring, head and ventilated front seats, heated middle row, wireless charging, etc. Two new package options should be added for this trim with 22-inch wheels, unique interior and exterior accents.

The top-tier Denali version will have adaptive dampers, premium leather upholstery and textures, a head-up display, navigation system, premium sound system, etc.

2025 GMC YUKON POWERTRAINS, MPG

The 2025 GMC Yukon won’t change its power units. The rear wheel drive can be switched with the four-wheel drive with either single or two-speed transfer case with low range gearing.

The 6.2-liter V-8 should become available in the SLT trim in the new package while the Denali version has it under the hood by default. This engine pumps 420 hp and 460 lb-ft of torque. The 10-speed auto gearbox is also in the combination.

The Yukon can carry a number of passengers but also allows up to 8, 500 pounds of towing capacity and that with the short-wheelbase version. The big mass needs more fuel and the Yukon will return around 19 mpg combined with the smaller engine. The more powerful Yukon should be around 17 mpg combined.

2025 GMC YUKON RELEASE DATE, PRICE

The arrival of the 2025 GMC Yukon will be in the second half of the year. The base version will again start below $50k and climb over $65k for the Denali versions.
