2025 Lincoln MKZ Changes, Price, Hybrid, Specs. The upcoming 2025 Lincoln MKZ will most likely arrive under a different name. As you know, Lincoln wants to change its confusing three-letter nameplates such as MKZ and MKC. We already wrote about the MKC model that will be called the “Corsair” model in the future. Now, the MKZ is getting the same treatment and this model will be called “Zephyr”.
Interestingly, the manufacturer announced that the production of the Lincoln MKZ ended last summer. The production of the all-new Zephyr variant is about to start. The sales will begin in early 2025 and here’s everything we know so far.
Three Powertrain Options
New 2025 Lincoln MKZ offers three powertrain options. Everything starts with a 2.0-liter turbo-four engine that provides 245 hp and 275 lb-ft of torque. This unit comes with a six-speed automatic transmission and standard front-wheel-drive system. The second powertrain option is a hybrid setup, combined with the 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine.
The MKZ Hybrid will develop around 188 horsepower, but it will provide significantly better fuel efficiency. There is a 3.0-liter V6 engine, available in the Reserve II trim level. This is an optional engine as well, and it generates 350 horses and 400 lb-ft of torque. Loading the AWD system will provide additional 50 ponies.
Lincoln MKZ Exterior and Interior Changes
The upcoming 2025 Lincoln MKZ, or Zephyr will continue with the same recognizable design. Of course, some styling upgrades are about to happen. The MKZ is a four-door sedan with a room for five passengers. Lincoln is known for delivering a subtle and very premium design. Brand’s vehicles are not aggressive at all. Instead, Lincoln provides a very stylish design with plenty of luxury. New model will switch from the CD4 to the CD6 platform and it will offer a standard rear-wheel-drive.
The interior will gain more updates. New Lincoln MKZ will use even more premium materials and the latest driver-assistance aids. New upholstery and safety systems will be optional in the base trim level. Anyway, even the base variant will offer enough luxury. This sedan provides a high level of comfort, a very modern cabin, and a generous passenger room.
Trim Levels
The base 2025 Lincoln MKZ will offer more than a modern and premium interior design. For a starting price, you will get adaptive xenon headlights, power-adjustable seats, an 11-speaker sound system, and adaptive suspension. It is a pretty basic offer, so Reserve I trim level is an even better choice.
This trim level comes with leather upholstery, additional genuine wood trims, ambient lighting, and a power-adjustable steering wheel. The Reserve II variant adds larger 19-inch wheels, massaging front seats, sunroof, LED headlights, and more safety aids. On top of that, it also provides more power.
2025 Lincoln MKZ Price, Release Date
The price of the next 2025 Lincoln MKZ will once again start below $40,000. The range-topping trim level will cost around $50,000. As we already said, the luxury MKZ sedan will hit the markets in early 2025 and it will arrive under the Lincoln Zephyr name.
